A firmware package must match the exact machine and its current software path. A similar model name is not sufficient.
Record the machine details
- Full model and serial number from the device label.
- Current system software version from the configuration report or device interface.
- The fault symptoms and any error code.
Check the package
Compare the supported models and version on the product page with the machine. Read the included release notes and installation instructions. Use a published checksum, where provided, to check the downloaded archive.
Prepare for the work
Save the configuration, address book and other data the machine allows you to export. Arrange stable power and sufficient time. Firmware updates and recovery procedures can have different effects on settings and stored jobs.
Follow the exact model guide
Use the installation method specified for that model and release. Do not substitute another model’s boot flags, folder layout, image, or service procedure. If the package does not include the required guide, open a support case from your order before proceeding.
