| Xerox VersaLink: Factory Reset & Admin Password Reset Access the Reset Screen: Go to the main home screen. Press and hold the Home button for about 7 seconds, then release it. Enter the Default Password: After releasing the button, a box will appear on the screen asking for a password. Enter 6789. Once the code is entered, the screen will return to the home screen. Perform the Factory Reset: Look for the Device menu and select it. Scroll down and find Resets, then select it. You will see three options. Select Reset Factory Defaults. Wait for the printer to restart and print the start-up page automatically after booting. Complete the Setup and Admin Login: Once the printer has rebooted, the setup screen will appear. Complete the setup process. When you reach the home screen, look for the Login option in the top corner and select it. A box labeled Admin will appear. Select it and enter the password: 1111. If 1111 does not work: Check the start-up page for the device’s Serial Number. Enter the Serial Number using CAPITAL LETTERS and numbers. You will then see a message asking if you want to change the password. You can either update it (and remember the new password) or leave it as is. |
